This is my first garden here. It was originally bordered by sticks literally pushed into the sand. It was planted with amaranthus the first spring which were pitiful but survived long enough to flower. It was amended in the fall and planted with all free stuff from work. Penstemon, aster, spiderwort, various agastache and the seeds from last summer's amaranthus that were gracious enough to return. They provide the dramatic purple

This is a series of gardens that were started on a whim with a little help from Jackieboy. The garden with the toilet is nobs garden. Most of the plants there I bought. The garden in the forefront is on some pure sand that they originally used to stucco the house. I put pinefines on top and planted stuff. I am surprised everything is doing so well

This is either my second, third or fourth garden. Its all kind of a blur ha. It is planted with Raleigh plant swap stuff and free stuff from work. It overlooks the orchard of peaches and apples that are food for the insects and the birds

This is the last dropped dirt garden. It is planted with oenethera, verbascum and various other goodies that I winter sowed.

I'm dropping dirt around the deck now and popping plants in.

This place is no where near being done. It will always be a work in progress.
